I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with honors from Stony Brook University in New York in 2003. After this, I pursued my Master's degree in Psychology at The New School for Social Research in New York City, while gaining extensive experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I graduated in 2005 with a Masters in Psychology and a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling. I then completed two years and over 700 hours of doctoral level clinical externships between 2005-2007, in both inpatient and outpatient individual and group settings. I took a break from my career to establish and raise my family. I returned to mental health counseling and earned licensure in Florida State as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in 2021. I am currently pursuing full licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, (LMHC), while working with my clients under the clinical supervision of Tara Hruby, LMHC.

I describe my therapeautic style as client-centered and I tailor my clinical interventions to the needs of my client. I am trained in CBT, DBT, motivational intervieeing, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative. I am also a certified trauma specialist and have expertise in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and substance and alcohol dependence.
